“I know You gave the world Your only Son for us to know Your name… He took my place, knowing He’d be crucified.” — Hillsong United.
Easter is more than just a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder from heaven of an eternal love so deep, so undeserved, that it changed the trajectory of history once and for all. At Chosen Generation, we believe that love was never meant to be selfishly clutched—it was meant to be shared. And that’s why, during Easter week this year, we stepped out into the community not with pomp and circumstance, but in compassion filled hearts. Where to? A local health center. What for? To bring hope, healing, and a concrete expression of the love of Christ to those so readily forgotten. We prayed with the sick, sat with the weary, and spoke words of hope to the broken-hearted. In the eyes of the patients, we saw no sickness—we saw stories, struggles, and brave hearts yearning to be heard. We listened to them. We laughed with them. We wept with them. We reminded them they’re not alone. But love does not stop in words. Our teens rolled up their sleeves and cleaned down the hospital rooms, restoring dignity and care to an institution where healing must be revered. We took foodstuffs to the patients and caregivers and provided not only nourishment—but a message: you are noticed, you are valued, you are loved. This trip was not merely about giving—it was a season of change. For our youth, it was a firm wake-up call. By serving, they discovered that ministry is not an event—it happens in the hospital corridor, the quiet prayer, the break meal. As we stand at the cross and the empty tomb, we’re reminded that this power of resurrection isn’t something we preach—it’s something we practice. One act of kindness at a time.
